Gor Mahia Migration....the Second "Wild Beast Migration"

The green army migration as it commonly known to the steward Gor Mahia fans is a force to reckon with…they come in large troops, numbers, fleets to flock various meeting points; joints, clubs, Facebook and of late parliament building on a strategy to overwhelm the fear of defeat in their team and cast magic spell to any of the haters as they paint the twilight town green…from far you hear them chant songs of “Gor biro yawne yoo”  and slogans simply "Gor is coming open the roads." Soon any odiero (europeans) or shemeji  in Kenya  learns why they christen it “Juogi mar Kogallo.”  In no time the busy Nairobi streets clear out and the whole town is painted green: a shocker that has left “mashemeji” wondering if they are fighting a third world war army.
What amazes me is the swag and pride that comes by being Gor Mahia follower otherwise known to us as the GORvernment yaani Sirkal. They are seen swarming in town, some creeping in, others can’t wait to pimp their motorcades: latest Range Rover sport cars, Cadillac and Mercedes Omondi E-class  in the mood, others landing and of cause the rare breeds from  Kisumu City  jetting in for the days business. Soon the town is a standstill, the city council authority get new jobs other than collecting tax to guard the migration, GSU police and tight security deployed to the scene not to cause chaos of-cause but to guard the immigrants Kogallo. Now you know why I called it GORvernment.
Recently the migration has been characterized by fellow Jokogallo bring in their girls, odieros and beauty to grace the occasion in style, fashion and “nyadhi.” For sure behind every Jakogallo there is a KoGirlo in action..... The migration libation takes place at the memoir of Tom Mboya along the Moi Avenue commonly referred to many as Rusinga Island where there is prayer and chanting of famous Kogallo anthem and songs.

Kogallo believes and upholds the powers of the mighty Kogallo ancestors will and spirit to cleanse their path and bring success home. This memoir is soon turning head to tourist attraction in Nairobi and Kogallo is making sure it takes over sympathetic attention the Nyayo "rungu" memoir littered all over the corners of the City is causing. For Kogallo it’s just a matter of time.
Kogallo Migration anthropology can be accounted  back in the days of the River Lake N ilotes from Southern Sudan tracing their roots to settle  around lake Victoria’s ‘Got Ramogi’…the migration none the less resembles the former world history as the Kogallo migration carries with it all of oneself ,spirit “juogi” togetherness and  celebration.
Like the wild beast migration in sub-Sahara Africa, Gor migration is slowly creeping in to World Guinness books of records. “Perhaps one of the most interesting and noticeable attributes common among the elite in this migration (educated or urban Kogallo people) is their flamboyant character and sense of style, in addition to their polished and eloquent command of the English language, otherwise known as The Queen's English. ..It’s a forum and time for showing-off.” Dr Jarunda who runs Gor Mahia favorite page in facebook
You can easily sample their attitudes and the spirits of the fun in this super hyped event in Kenya. To the funs Gor Mahia is a lifestyle...... it lives on, Ulinzi is a job, it has an end. Gor is a culture, it can be propagated. Sofapaka and the rest are an attempt to team building, they have no roots..............!
I know this article leaves you wondering when the migration is. Its weekly event that has seen Gor Mahia -because of its million followers- organize them different branch to migrate in. These days you don’t need to be in the City to be part of the migration.
