Last week we told you about business journalist
Larry Madowo resigning from South Africa-based TV station, CNBC Africa.
It has now emerged that the journalist is heading back to his former
employer, NTV.
Larry revealed a few minutes ago that it was Nation Media Group’s
CEO, Linus Gitahi’s, efforts that made sure he is back at the “twin
towers”. “After 8 months in the SA wilderness, this prodigal son is
happily back home at @ntvkenya. Thanks to @LGtwits for making sure I
returned,” tweeted Larry. Larry and Linus have a strong relationship and
hence there was no way he could turn down his offer.
Larry also revealed that he had numerous conversations with Kenya’s oldest media house, KTN, however, the deals were not fruitful as Larry opted for NTV. “For the record, I also had many conversations about returning to @KTNKenya. I wish them nothing but the best, they'll be worthy competitors” tweeted Larry.
in his post in twitter the busines news anchor said
"Jogoo road is crowded like KTN News room" lolest
Larry's return is a move that's expected to give NTV a major shot in the arm after the TV station experienced massive walk-outs by top anchors. BGB! wishes him all the best as he resumes duty.
