Exodus: Gods and Kings is by no means a perfect film. But it's a very good film with exceptional devotion to craft, which is more than can be said for many other Bible-themed movies, which often favor accuracy over artistry.
The excitement is dampened by a draggy middle where Moses gets married and a tedious epilogue, but Scott's keen ability to explain scripture miracles in credible terms is this biblical blockbuster's major asset.
Filming
Shooting of the film began in October 2013 in Almería.[ Additional filming was scheduled at Pinewood Studios, England.
Post-production
It took more than 1,500 visual effects shots to digitally bolster the ranks of the Hebrews and to help authentically render plagues of hail, locusts and frogs, although some 400 actual amphibians were brought to set at one point. It was banned in Egypt UAE and MoroccoThe film was also banned in KUWAIT
VERDICT
Is it possible to sit through a movie, mentally cataloging its absurdities, and still walk out dazzled? Because that pretty much sums up my experience watching Ridley Scott’s eye-candy spectacle
The special effects are amazing especially the parting of the red sea and plagues
Though the story is incomplete and some parts are omitted
This is for sure one of the best epic Bible story that’s has ever been done.I give it 7/10
