WHY Opposition Leader - Raila Odinga - did not receive Pope Francis in StateHouse

For those asking why the opposition was absent from statehouse yesterday: Well, yesterday's event at statehouse was a political gathering by jubilee. CORD leaders had the option of attending or not.
At or around the time president Kenyatta was feeding the sycophantic audience at statehouse with catchy political statements, empty rhetoric and lies, CORD leadership was meeting Danish Ambassador Mr. Mette Knudsen and other senior officials.
But let's call a spade a spade
Jubilee coalition's notoriety of hijacking such gatherings, irrespective of who is in attendance, in this case, the Pope, to display it's imagined political might and humiliate opponents is a matter of public knowledge.
An example is when Dennis Itumbi refused to give out photos of President Obama with opposition leaders at statehouse. He released them three weeks later after public uproar. For the three weeks, he was spreading propaganda that pres Obama denied opposition Leaders a photo session.
The CORD Leaders have the option of attending today's mass at the University of Nairobi which is a religious event where jubilee party has no control, or alternatively, abscond it.
As for not attending yesterday's political rally at statehouse, that was the best political decision Raila, Kalonzo and Wetangula have ever made, and I know jubilee is disappointed.
